The Cleveland Indians have caught fire in the postseason! The Cleveland Indians are 7-1 in the playoff so far. They started off by facing Big Papi (David Ortiz) and the Boston Red Sox– they swept them 3-0. They then went on to face the Toronto Blue Jays who shocked the baseball world by beating the number one seeded Texas Rangers. But the Tribe had no problem winning the series 4-1 under precarious “circumstances” to win the American League Championship Series and to move on to the World Series and face the winner of the NLCS series: either the Los Angeles Dodgers or the Chicago Cubs. The ALCS MVP Andrew Miller is someone that has really helped the Indians this postseason. Andrew Miller has been amazing: he has strikeouts 21 batters and has not allowed any runs! Another Tribe player that has provided support and backup is Coco Crisp. He has had some key plays in the postseason. In the American League Division Series Game 3 he hit a solo home run over the Green Monster that helped the Indians win the game 4-3. Additionally his home run against the Toronto Blue Jays increased the Indians lead 3-0 and helped them reach the World Series for the first time in 19 years. In the end, every player on the Indians have played a part, and their contributions helped the Cleveland Indians reach the World Series. The first game of the World Series will be on Tuesday on October 25th at Progressive Field in Cleveland.
